How We Raise Our Beef at Tucker Creek Ranch
We are a family dedicated to raising pasture-raised beef shares that you can feel good about serving your family.
Our Loving Start: Caring for Calves Through Winter
Our calves are weaned in early winter and spend their first winter in a large barn with access to the outdoors—a safe, dry space during the wet season. After that first winter, they're out on pasture year-round. We raise Red Angus and Hereford cattle selected for their quality and suitability for pasture living.
Spring to Summer: Thriving on Pastures
Cattle are rotated to fresh grass 2-3 times a week. This practice allows our land to rest and recover between grazing cycles, while animals have plenty of room to roam, graze, and socialize. We never use feedlot confinement.
Finishing with Care
We supplement with a light daily grain feeding to enhance marbling. Cattle receive approximately 1% of their body weight in grain once a day while remaining on pasture—they eat it in about 10 minutes, then spend the other 23+ hours roaming and grazing.
Why Their Beef Is Special
Hormone-Free
We never use growth hormones. If an animal ever needs medical treatment, it's only under veterinary supervision.
Regenerative Grazing
We rotate cattle to fresh pasture 2-3 times a week, giving each section time to rest and regrow before the herd returns.
